I hate the nightelves

Rant time!
So I finally finished the War of the Ancients series(I kept switching to new books) and it just kept adding to my disdain for nightelves. Now I like Illidan, I know that he has made some mistakes in the past but most of his actions had the best of intention and quite frankly many of them saved the proverbial ass of his race. Sure he might not have used the best methods but when you are dealing with an army of invading demons whose sole purpose is to annihilate all life you sometimes need to you know...not be nice. But still he made his mistakes, I have no delusions about that.
However I find several things about how he was treated crap. First off from the day he was born he was constantly pushed to be the best, after all he had the golden eyes of destiny so that means he will have this great destiny. Now that set him off down a bad path right from the beginning, he was on a constant quest for more power so that he could live up to what he had been brainwashed into believing he should be. This of course gave him some problems and made him a bit out of control and wild. He needed a teacher to reign him in something fierce and despite pretty much every major character(most of whom were powerful in the arts of magic and more than suited to fulfill this role) realizing this right from the beginning and even stating it, none of them actually DID anything and just got more and more upset and perturbed as the war with the demons put Illidan further down his path of power.
Now many of Illidan's dark dead are in fact due to the fact that he had a spell cast on him that strengthened his inner darkness greatly and brought it to the surface, whispering dark thoughts to him and guiding him in a way that would bring sorrow to his brother. Now this spell was cast on him at his weakest moment, the time when Tyrande revealed that not only did she love Malfurian over him but had done so from the beginning and had been leading him on. Now this spell screwed him up big time but he still did what he thought was best to save his people, he didn't do what the spell wanted him to, which is turn on his brother. No instead he fooled the leader of the burning legion himself, feigning to join the demons, and ultimately set up the chance for the the portal to be shut down and for Sageras to be trapped. And despite Tyrande being saved by Illidan, despite knowing that he hadn't joined the demons that he was merely trying to use their power against them, and despite knowing that forces far far far more powerful than he were manipulating him she really did nothing to help him during later events.
Now these events actually came about rather quickly as Illidan, further angered by the fact that everyone thought of him as someone who had fallen to the darkness and only because of his brother had been saved when in truth they had saved each other. This only guaranteed that he would go on his own to created another well of eternity. While not the best action he had a good justification for it. That the Burning Legion was not defeated, that they would be back, and that the night elves and everyone else would need all the help they could get. He made his big mistake by killing some of those who tried to stop him from accomplishing his task. Yes not a good thing, but I would like to point out that Tyrande saw the forces that were manipulating and changing Illidan and Malfurion had been told by his Xavious that the Satyr had caused Illidan to be lost to him. Which is more than enough of a hint for someone to figure out that maybe Xavious had twisted Illidan for his bidding. But none of this came into play, no the only reason why Malfurion allowed his brother to live and be imprisoned is that he though that Illidan was right. That the demons would be back and that they might very well need to use the demons own might against them. And so for killing like 14 people he is imprisoned for 10,000 years.
Now when the time came to actually use Illidan against the demons Malfuion was against it but Tyrande went ahead and freed Illidan anyway, killing the night elf guards in the process I might add. It makes me wonder why she wasn't then put to death but I guess that's another matter. Now Tyrande uses the fact that Illidan was and still is in love with her to get him to do what she wants, to fight the demons. And when Illidan does do that, defeated quite a few powerful foes and probably insuring victory both Tyrande and Malfurion banish him because they don't like the way he looks(he's taken on quite a demonic form by now).
Now I would say that spending 10,000 years underground in solitude and then saving the night elves asses once again would sort of ohhh I don't know redeem him. Certainly a hell of a lot more than most people do to gain redemption. Frankly I'd start a war against them myself.
Stupid freaking nightelves and their blahh /endrant.
